Hourly vs. Weekend Packages: Which Is Cheaper?
For a Saturday or Sunday charter, the weekend package is almost always the better deal. A 4-hour weekday hourly charter totals $2,200 ($1,600 base + $200 fuel + $400 captain), but the same 4 hours on a weekend is just $2,000 all-in — with captain and fuel included. The hourly rate makes more sense for weekday charters, longer trips beyond 5 hours, or when you want a custom departure time outside the standard weekend slots.
Bahamas & Multi-Day Trip Pricing
Multi-day Bahamas and Florida Keys charters start at $5,000 and are quoted custom based on duration, destination, fuel for the offshore crossing, dockage at island marinas, and provisioning. A typical 3-day Bimini run runs $7,500–$9,500 all-in for a group of 6–8; longer Exumas trips and Key West voyages quote higher. The yacht has a 600-mile range and full cabin accommodations for overnight comfort. Call (727) 609-2248 for a same-day custom quote.
What's Included in Every Charter?
Every Yacht Away Now charter includes the full 52ft Marquis Flybridge (all 3 decks, 1,200+ sq ft cabin, 800+ sq ft deck), Captain Josh Wilson at the helm, premium audio across all decks, Starlink WiFi, ice and cooler space, USCG-rated life jackets for every guest, and customizable routing within the day's itinerary. BYOB and BYO food are welcome on every charter — we provide ice and cooler space; glass bottles transferred to plastic dockside (Coast Guard rule). Captain gratuity (18–20% of base) is at guest discretion and is not included.

Yacht Charter Pricing FAQ
What's included in the charter price?
Weekend packages ($2,000–$2,500) are all-inclusive — captain, crew, and fuel are included with no hidden fees. Weekday hourly charters ($400/hr) have a 4-hour minimum with a $50/hr fuel surcharge and $100/hr captain fee added separately. All charters include full vessel access across 3 decks, 2 cabins, premium stereo with Bluetooth, Starlink WiFi, and capacity for up to 13 guests.
Do I need to bring my own food and drinks?
Yes — all charters are BYOB. You're welcome to bring your own food, drinks, and alcohol aboard. There's a full galley kitchen, refrigerator, and plenty of cooler space. Many guests pick up catering from local St. Petersburg restaurants before boarding. Need suggestions? Just ask when you book.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance, especially for weekends and holidays. Peak season (March through October) fills up fast. For holidays like July 4th, Gasparilla, and New Year's Eve, book 4–6 weeks ahead to secure your date. A $1,000 refundable deposit holds your charter date.
What is the cancellation policy?
Your $1,000 deposit is fully refundable up to 72 hours before departure. Cancellations within 72 hours are non-refundable. If we cancel due to unsafe weather — or if a named storm is forecast within 72 hours of your charter — you'll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no extra cost. Your safety is always our top priority.
Can I customize the route or itinerary?
Absolutely. Every charter is private and fully customizable. Popular routes include sunset cruises past the St. Pete Pier and Vinoy, island hops to Egmont Key and Shell Key, sandbar stops at Fort De Soto, and passes under the Skyway Bridge. Your captain will work with you to plan the perfect route based on weather, tides, and your preferences.
Is gratuity expected for the captain and crew?
Gratuity is not included in the charter price and is entirely at your discretion. If you had a great experience, most guests tip 15–20% of the charter total. You can tip in cash at the end of your trip or add it when completing payment.
